Mt. Mansfield State Park
Stowe, VT presents so many activities and attractions, it is impossible to visit them all in one week. Throughout the year however, one attraction that remains constant is Mt. Mansfield State Park. Not only is the mountain home to the world-famous ski resort and Stowe condos, but the gondolas run all year-round so visitors can enjoy the mountain in the summer. It is Vermont’s highest peak and an excellent place to explore the great outdoors. From skiing and snowboarding to hiking and biking, there is something for everyone at Mt. Mansfield.
Four Seasons to Four Points
If brewery tours and mountain bikes are on the itinerary, then definitely book an appointment with Four Points Mountain Bike School & Guide Service. For those inclined to learn more about the art of mountain biking, the four-week development program will have you riding like a pro in a short amount of time. The brewery tours offer a pick-up shuttle, a visit to five breweries and/or distilleries, a designated driver, appetizers and snacks, as well as a flight of tastings at each stop.
Snowmobile or ATV?
Although our Four Seasons condo and homes may be one of the coziest spots in Stowe, there are still instances when everyone needs a little exhilaration and excitement. Thankfully, Snowmobile and ATV Vermont is a local business that offers guests an opportunity to explore the Vermont backwoods with an experienced and knowledgeable guide. The tours are fun for all ages (over 5 years old) and prices are set according to the tour length and type of snowmobile/vehicle. Additionally, the kids have their own guided tours! On the ATV tours, you can choose to drive the vehicle yourself or opt for an adventure through the Green Mountains with a professional driver.
Walk in the Woods
Since this part of Vermont is quite mountainous, Stowe provides a spectacular starting point for excursions into the forests and woods that cover the alpine slopes. Cady Hill Forest and Wiessner Woods are two of the most popular spots not only to hike, but to walk the dog, cross-country ski or to just see the flora and fauna. At Wiessner Woods, snowmobiles and mountain bikes are prohibited while at Cady Hill Forest, mountain bikes often dominate the trails. If you visit during the fall, the colors in the trees are remarkable in both of these tranquil conservation spaces.
