The Mercer House: Mid-Century Modern Stowe Village Home with Generator | Walk to Town, Cady Hill Trails Access

The Mercer House is a beautiful mid-century modern vacation rental in a private Stowe Village location, ideal for families and groups looking to enjoy everything Stowe has to offer. For ultimate winter security, the home is equipped with a generator, so you can relax knowing the power stays on even when a Vermont storm rolls in.

Location and Walkability--Tucked in the heart of Stowe Village, this 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home has direct access to the Cady Hill mountain bike trails. You can also walk to restaurants, bars, shops, and the Stowe Recreation Path. In winter, the seasonal shuttle bus to Stowe Mountain Resort is within walking distance, making this one of the most walkable Stowe rentals around.
Main Floor--The walk-through kitchen features new appliances, well-stocked cupboards, a pantry, bar seating, and a nook with a round table perfect for morning coffee or an evening of cards. The dining room seats up to ten at a long table and opens to the living room, separated by a handsome teak partial wall, a statement piece and a nod to the home's mid-century modern bones.
A comfortable den with a TV leads to the outdoor patio, complete with table, chairs, and a seasonal barbecue grill. The flat backyard offers winter views down to the center of the village. Two bedrooms complete this floor: the primary suite with ensuite full bath, and a guest room with a shared 3/4 bath.
Upstairs--Two additional guest rooms provide even more space to spread out: a twin-bedded room perfect for kids and a cozy queen-bedded room. These rooms share a 3/4 bathroom with a large shower.
Lower Level--The lower level features a recreation area, plus a washer and dryer.
Design and Comfort--Careful attention to detail in the renovation is evident throughout. Tray and vaulted ceilings add drama, while abundant natural light, lovely throw rugs, and warm-toned furnishings invite you to settle in and relax.
Additional Amenities--Enjoy free Wi-Fi, ample parking, and newly installed mini-split air conditioning for summer comfort. Pets are considered on a case-by-case basis with prior approval (additional charges apply). Combined with the generator for winter security, The Mercer House offers a comfortable, well-equipped base for every season in Stowe.
Garage and Entry--A secure garage is ideal for storing bikes and bulky gear (note: vehicles taller than six feet will not fit). An outdoor hose is handy after a day on the trails. The large, tiled entry offers extra space for hanging coats and stowing boots and shoes.

A great Stowe home for a ski vacation, summer mountain biking getaway, or fall foliage escape.
