When I first visited Stowe, I felt as if I were in a winter wonderland. I vowed to go back as many times as possible in the winter without realizing that Stowe is actually an all year round location particularly suited to all sports whether winter sports or hiking, bike riding, walking, tennis, golf etc. For winter sports enthusiasts the closest Mountain Road shuttle is only 0.2 miles from the door. Apart from the Winter season there is the infamous Fall and the Summer is beautiful too. Go visit Lake Champlain in the Summer and take a boat across to New York State. You are also near the Canadian border with Montreal being the closest part of Canada to Stowe, about an hour and a half car ride away.
