Sometimes you just want to grab something quick and hit the slopes or hiking trail. Other times, you want to sit back, relax, and enjoy a nice late breakfast to start the day. Here are our top places to eat in Stowe for a leisurely brunch. Enjoy!
The Bagel
Sometimes you just want a bagel. A real, New York-style bagel. Luckily, you can hit The Bagel and go with the classic – lox, cream cheese, capers, and red onions. You can also try their Bacon Horseradish, Olive + Pimento, or Maple Walnut spread. They have breakfast sandwiches too made on bagels or other breads, as well as a variety of coffee drinks. Grab a half-dozen or dozen bagels to go, along with spreads so you can enjoy a few back in your rental or out on your hike.

Café on Main
Grab a seat out front and watch the world go by as you enjoy a breakfast sandwich or Belgian waffle with a hot cup of coffee. Looking for more of a lunch meal than breakfast? Try a bowl of hearty soup of the day (Split Pea, West African Peanut, and more) or a nice slice of Bacon, Swiss & Tomato Quiche. The café also has sandwiches, a Chipotle Black Bean Burger, and more. Or just go right for the bakery case for cinnamon twists, cupcakes, banana bread, muffins, handmade scones and croissants, and delicious cookies!

Green Goddess Café
Like the Café on Main, the Green Goddess is one of the best places to eat in Stowe that focuses on breakfast and brunch. The menu is pretty expansive and covers all the bases. The lunch menu includes sandwiches, salads, gyros and wraps, and the breakfast offerings include bagels, breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, and more.
Try their Tree Hugger Sandwich (for avocado lovers), Pork Carnitas, and their Cinnamon Raisin French Toast. Grab a cookie or two for the road.

Butler’s Pantry Breakfast
Butler’s Pantry is pretty touristy, but sometimes that’s not a bad thing. They’ve made a lot of “Top” lists, including YELP’s Top 100 Places to Eat in the USA, and Eat This Not That’s Best Breakfast in Vermont. Their pancakes, homemade maple sausage, and biscuits & gravy have made the lists as the things to try. Other breakfast options include French toast, eggs and omelets, breakfast sandwiches and a breakfast salad, eggs benedict. There’s a full bar too, offering cocktails, wine, and beer, so you can get that Bloody Mary or mimosa with your breakfast.
